I bring over 20 years across scientific research, regulated diagnostics development and R&D leadership. My experience spans IVD feasibility, immunoassay development, assay troubleshooting, reagent chemistry, bioconjugation strategy, development-readiness assessment and technical decision-making within regulated diagnostics environments.

My expertise sits at the intersection of chemistry, biochemistry and diagnostics development. I combine experience in immunoassays, protein purification, bioconjugation and particle-based reagents with the ability to investigate how molecular interactions and reagent properties affect assay performance, stability and reproducibility.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Scientific depth, diagnostics R&D and independent advisory.
Dr Pompi Hazarika’s background spans academic research, regulated diagnostics development, senior R&D leadership and independent advisory. Her work combines chemistry, biochemistry, immunoassay development and product-development judgement across early-stage diagnostics and IVD programmes.
PhD in Nanobiotechnology from TU Dortmund, Germany, focused on biofunctionalised gold nanoparticles, protein/DNA functionalisation and biosensor applications. MSc in Chemistry from IIT Guwahati, India, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of East Anglia and the University of Manchester.
20+ years across research, diagnostics development and R&D leadership, including senior roles at The Binding Site and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Experience includes IVD feasibility, immunoassay development, assay troubleshooting, reagent chemistry, bioconjugation strategy and development-readiness decision-making.
Through ORIVISE, Pompi provides independent technical and R&D advisory support for diagnostics founders, R&D teams, investors, academic labs and innovation partners making feasibility, development, funding and investment decisions.
